Tips to Make the Most Out of Adobe Summit

We are less than a week away from Adobe Summit 2019 and couldn’t be more excited! You are sure to gain insights, tools, and techniques for putting experience first; whether you’re new to digital marketing or a seasoned professional.

Since Summit is rapidly approaching, we wrote down some tips on how to make the most out of your time in Las Vegas.

Summit Must-Knows

1. Speakers make all the difference.

Adobe never disappoints with the quality of speakers at Summit. This year, prepare to be wowed by inspirational speakers in keynotes, sessions, and labs.
Saints fan or not, Drew Brees is sure to leave a lasting impression. Brees’ professional and motivational demeanor commands the room and makes for a strong speech. We are excited to hear his story of choice for Summit 2019 – I wonder if it will have anything to do with pass interference…

Tip: Make sure to hit the keynotes. The keynote speakers are there to inspire you to become an exceptional experience maker and if history is any indication, these speakers will be funny, and insightful and educational, and just plain good.

2. Organizational skills are a must.

With 15,000 digital marketers, a maze of rooms and a constant flow of activities, Adobe Summit can be overwhelming at times. So it’s important to really take some time before you arrive to answer the question: What am I looking to take away from Adobe Summit this year? Take the time before you immerse yourself in the chaos to make sure you know where the best opportunities are to answer that question for you throughout the course of Summit.

Tip: Download the Adobe Summit 2019 mobile app! The app allows you to view your own sessions schedule (as well as the whole thing if you like) and gives conference announcements in real-time. The Summit app will also keep you from getting lost! Venue maps are available at your fingertips, anytime you need them.

3. Work on your networking.

Regardless of what industry or job role you’re in, attending Summit is a great way to learn from every single person around you – and trust me, there will be more than enough opportunities to do so. Expect to be surrounded by top industry leaders, experts in all aspects of digital marketing, and a plethora of potential partners. Make sure you go prepared with plenty of business cards!

Tip: Have lunch alone and meet the people at your table. Introduce yourself to the person next to you in your session. Striking up a conversation is easier than you think. Just ask them about their company, what they do there, and what brought them to Summit. This will eventually lead to conversations about the tools and technologies they are leveraging, which can be beneficial to your business.

4. Sneak to Sneaks.

Adobe Sneaks is truly inspiring in terms of where the Adobe product is going. This is one of Summit’s most popular events. Stay ahead of the game and see which features you might see in upcoming Experience Cloud releases.

This year, Mindy Kaling is hosting Adobe Sneaks. Mindy once said, “Sometimes you just have to put on lipgloss and pretend to be psyched” — but we’re pretty sure you won’t have to pretend to be psyched for Sneaks. Adobe is telling us to “Expect the unexpected” this year, and we’re willing to bet that since Mindy is hosting, we can expect a lot of laughs while learning what’s been going on in Adobe Labs.

5. Walk the Pavilion.

When you’re not in a session, go visit company booths in the Pavilion. The Pavilion is truly the hub of Summit, filled with Adobe product experts that are eager to talk to you. These companies will discuss any challenges you might be facing and how they can help to solve them. Make sure you check out the Experience League while you’re in the Pavilion. This program will help you make the absolute most out of Adobe Experience Cloud, including personalized learning and expert help.
The Pavilion is sure to bring some amazing experiences. Lots of booths will be demonstrating new technologies, where you can jump in and experience it first-hand. There are countless ways to get involved!

Tip: Everyone there is using Adobe to provide value to their customers. Walking the Pavilion is a good way to see the various ways the Adobe Experience Cloud is positioned.
