Make the most of your time at Adobe Summit

Adobe Summit 2018 is fast approaching and this year it promises to be one of the best digital marketing conferences you will attend.
Important Dates:
March 25th+ 26th Pre-conference training
May 27th – 29th Tracks and industry sessions

You will learn from industry experts how to combine creativity, data and content in your digital marketing strategies in order to deliver relevant and personalized experiences across every online and offline touchpoint you have with your clients.

Being this is my 5th Adobe Summit, here are 3 things to keep in mind to make the most of your time:

1. Plan your Agenda

To make the most out of Adobe Summit, take some time and write down several goals that specify exactly what you want to get out of your time at the conference. With so much going on and so many distractions, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. Really focusing on why you are there and what matters to your role and your business will pay dividends the rest of the year.

Look at the Summit schedule and plan ahead of time. Whether you are there to train and learn from Adobe’s latest and greatest innovations, network with peers, meet and evaluate vendors or just have a good time, make sure you know where the opportunities are and which will best meet your focus.

2. Build your Network and Learn from Experts

Adobe Summit 2018 is expected to have 15,000 registrants. Regardless of the industry you are in, whether you are in retail, travel and hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, media, or any other vertical, this is an amazing opportunity to learn from industry leaders, meet with peers and evaluate partner offerings at the pavilion.

With more than 250 sessions and hands-on labs across seven tracks, there is more than enough content to digest.  Sign up early or get on a waiting list, but don’t wait any longer to schedule your day.

Use your time in the sessions wisely. Take the time to introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you. Learn what they do. Ask questions of the presenters. Exchange cards.

Fill up the remainder of your day by visiting multiple booths at the Pavilion and talking to companies about the challenges you are facing. Ask them for answers. Ask them to relate their experiences to solve your issues.

Finally, follow the #AdobeSummit hashtag on Twitter and interact with thought leaders. Social media is incredibly active during this time, and it’s a really great way to build your digital network.

3. Attend Summit Events

Adobe Summit is also about having fun. Be sure to make the most out of your time in Vegas attending some of the events that Adobe and partners have prepared for you. The events are very well attended and an excellent opportunity to continue to network and learn from others. Plus Adobe does a really great job with food and drink.
Here are a few to consider:

General Sessions -Tuesday March 27 @ 9:30 / Wednesday March 28 @ 10:00

These are some of the most high energy, entertaining presentations I think you’ll see over the course of your career. They are jam-packed with insights from brands you know, lessons from the biggest names in entertainment, and examples of how industry leaders are blazing new paths. Get there early to find a good seat as the space fills fast.

Make sure you tweet out a selfie with #AdobeSummit to see yourself on the big screen!

And take notes. The two hours go by in a flash and there is so much information shared, that its nearly impossible to remember everything that made you say “wow!”.  If there is anyone back at the office not lucky enough to be attending, Adobe live streams these events and they are just as impressive on screen.

Welcome Reception – Tuesday March 27 at the Partner Pavilion

Kick off Summit with a party. Come and share with colleagues what’s working and what challenges you are facing while enjoying some food and drinks. Network with peers, Adobe experts, and Summit sponsors. Make sure to visit iCiDIGITAL’s booth #135 to meet our team and earn some awesome giveaways.

Summit Sneaks – Wednesday March 28

Probably one of my favorite sessions at Summit. Moderated by Steve Hammond and this year hosted by Leslie Jones, actress and writer (last years’ was Hosted by SNL’s Kate McKinnon), this session is all about creativity and innovation with AI, VR and IoT, taking a look into the future to reimagine customer experiences.  Attendees get a sneak peek at the latest innovation coming out of Adobe’s R&D teams that will potentially become part of future product offerings.

Summit Bash – Wednesday March 28

Tons of entertainment, food, drinks, and the whole deal. This year, Grammy award-winning musician Beck will perform at the Bash. It’s really a great time to unwind and enjoy a night out in Vegas.
