Lovesac Launches on Adobe Experience Manager Sites for Edge Delivery Services

Lovesac, an American furniture retailer, aimed to streamline its content authoring experience and improve site performance. While wanting to create more complex pages, the organization lacked the develop skill set and tools necessary to quickly build and design online content.

While Google recommends sites strive to have Lighthouse scores ranging from 90-100 to provide a good user experience, Lovesac’s site had many custom content components and large files, driving performance scores down to 20. The team also struggled to expedite new marketing campaigns due to the site’s authoring experience.

Recognizing the need for a high-performing and scalable website that could deliver optimal results, Lovesac turned to Blue Acorn iCi to implement Adobe Experience Manager Sites powered by Edge Delivery Services.

The Solution: Edge Delivery Services

Edge Delivery Services is a new way to manage content in the content supply chain. A key feature of the solution is that it empowers authors to use common tools on platforms, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs as their content management system and system of record.

Edge Delivery also provides cloud infrastructure to preview and deploy content directly to web pages at incredible speeds and performance at scale.

Key benefits include:

Edge-hosting on Adobe Cloud to provide performance at a global scale
Familiar tools supported for content authoring, such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Experience Manager’s Universal Editor
Convenient asset management that doesn’t restrict authors to a single platform

Universal Editor and Edge Delivery Services

Edge Delivery Services helps sites deliver content at speed, and this technology is best paired with a content management system to facilitate the creation of website pages.

Universal Editor in Adobe Experience Manager is a simplified version of Adobe Experience Manager that helps teams see in real time what their site will look like when authoring. This drag-and-drop editing experience helps streamline the authoring experience and reduces the number of times teams have to publish content.

Using Universal Editor with Edge Delivery Services, Lovesac connected its Adobe Experience Manager digital asset management (DAM) with Universal Editor to easily leverage dynamic media.

With this tool, Lovesac has a connected creative ecosystem from the creative team down into the web team, which creates less handoffs between individuals. The organization can also follow its own release schedule and develop components on pages without needing extra development time and resources.
